Kitty update

Monday, March 3rd, 2008 | Uncategorized | 3 Comments

Cliffy’s scheduled to go in and get her tooth out tomorrow. She’s been eating (at least some) and she’s much more active than last week. Still too skinny, but not being able to chew food (and being damned fussy about what she eats) will do that.

At this point, all I can do is just hope it all goes as well as possible and she’s back home, ready to eat on Tuesday afternoon.

More updates as I have them. Thanks for everyone’s concern.

Harry’s war stories

Monday, March 3rd, 2008 | Uncategorized | No Comments

Found a compelling new blog this morning. (Very much late to the party. It was started in late-2006 and, according to things left in comments throughout the site, has been featured on many news and radio programs. Look at it this way — we’re getting a late start on it, but we’ll have a much shorter time to wait to find out how it ends.) It’s “made up of transcripts of Harry Lamin’s letters from the first World War. The letters will be posted exactly 90 years after they were written. To find out Harry’s fate, follow the blog!”

WW1: Experiences of an English Soldier

As with all other blogs, it’s in reverse chronological order. You’ll find the first entry here if you want to start from the beginning and work your way through his letters. You’ll need to start with the entry at the bottom of each page to get it all in order.
