Lovely, lovely music comes to my aid and I viddy right at once what to do

Fantastic Low show last night. First stop on the tour (per Alan Sparhawk, “So you guys got screwed.”), so therefore the first show in quite awhile, but they sounded like they’d never took a break. Someone in the audience asked Alan how he was feeling (geez — first night out and someone’s gotta bring up the crazy). His reply was “The bass feels ok on this side of the room, if you know what I mean.” Uh, no, we don’t, but as long as the band’s playing out, we’ll take that as a good sign.

And speaking of playing out, if you’re in the Milwaukee area this weekend, don’t forget about the Blue in the Face/Yell Leaders/John Sieger show at Shank Hall. It’s not to be missed. Lots of good press on the show today from, Shepherd Express (second item down) and the Journal Sentinel. If you’re going, get there early. Capacity is being pretty strictly enforced by the city these days and it’s a cinch the 300 people needed to fill the club will show up. Doors at 7, show starts at 8. Leave the cigarettes at home, but bring your cameras.
