I hate writing these things

Thursday, March 29th, 2007 | Life in Czeltistan

I’m finally writing my bio for my high school reunion book. Curiously, I’ve left out the part where I’m The Most-Exalted Ruler of the People’s Republic of Czeltistan and also left out my job as Minister of Righteous Anger.

Christyl suggests that judicious self-editing is a good thing, but I don’t know. It’s not that I care what most of these people will think of me, it’s just that it gets so tiring having people trying to kiss your ring all night long. Sometimes a girl just wants to get a cocktail and be anonymous. Is that so wrong?

Well, you did invent post-it notes, right?

good luck w/ your bio & reunion. At least you’re going to yours. My 20th is coming up next year and I’m sure the felons, junkies, televangelists, and parents-of-12-kids from my class of like 32 people won’t have the wherewithal to track me down. Ooops!

It’s hard to drink with people kissing your ring, so I think your editing strategy is sound.
