Columbia University’s Dept. of Sociology is running kind of a cool experiment. It’s certainly not the first time someone’s tried something like this, but they’re attempting to “perform the first large scale, global verification of the small world hypothesis, using the modern Email equivalent of [psychologist Stanley] Milgram’s passport innovation.” You can sign up here or get more info here.
