I’m a very bad daughter sometimes

Thursday, April 26th, 2007 | Life in Czeltistan

I was going to post a little something to help pimp the gallery opening Mom’s going to be involved in up in Cedarburg this Friday night, but I’ve gone and lost the info about where it is. (Which is bad, as that makes it tough for me to visit.) I’ll dig around and see if I can’t find that information and get it posted.

Anyhow… she and her friend Karen have started felting wool and making mittens out of it. They’re selling their mittens at the show. (Yes, I know it’s supposed to be almost 80 this weekend, but just pretend it’s cold and snowy and you’d like to look at — and possibly purchase — some woolen goods.)

Update: It’s Robin M. Fleming’s studio and gallery, and it’s located on the second floor of the Woolen Mill, which is across from Washington House Inn, right in downtown Cedarburg. The opening reception is from 4-9pm.

There. Now I’m a better kid.

If they start making slippers or socks let me know!

!! Very impressive front door to studios !!

Is the building in a historic part of town?

PS. Just saw the “Mitten Slideshow.” Also very classy…Did you do the photos?

….And all the snow in the background plus set-up..NICE!!

Ivan — everything in Cedarburg is in a historic part of town. And no, I didn’t do the photos. I had nothing to do with this site or any of the stuff Mom has in the show.

Thanks for the wonderful press :) The gallery show turned out well and, thanks to Wisconsin’s chilly weather, we sold quite a few pair. We will be in the holiday show in Cedarburg November 30th and December 1st. I suspect people will be much more into mittens then. :)

Thanks so much for the coverage. The opening was such a good time and it was GREAT to see you again. Your Mom and Karen’s mittens did really well so glad they joined me, fun time. Take care and hope to see you again soon.
