Good morning, hungover people

Can I get you something with green food color? (*snicker*)

(Yes, I’m a St. Patrick’s Day nerd. I stayed in last night. I wisely decided to go have my pints in relative peace and quiet on Sunday evening. And they sure as hell weren’t green.)

Remember that St. Patrick was a Briton, and the snakes he famously drove out of Ireland were the traditional pagan druids!

Even our most holy Patron is a damned English oppressor!

Dammit!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day.

P.S. Do you have any photos of Paddy’s pub? I was telling my friend about it, and wanted to show him some pictures because my descriptions just weren’t doing it justice.

Spent the day at Derry Hegarty’s Pub. I’m told I had a wonderful time. And there’s nothing green about Guinness – or Jameson!

I read an interesting BBC article on Monday – it said that “technically” St. Paddy’s Day shouldn’t have been celebrated on Monday because it clashed with Holy Week. I guess the Irish Republic celebrated on Saturday to sneak it in before the deadline. Kinda fab.

Yeah. It was technically on March 15 this year. (Part of the reason our St. Pat’s parade was so freakin’ early.)

Hangover? What hangover? In order to have a hangover, it’s necessary to stop drinking first. An impossibility at this time of the year.
