Sweet

I just realized our Coke machine at work is stocked with Passover Coke right now. Yay! I love Passover Coke. Tastes slightly less sweet than normal Coke, since it’s made with sugar instead of high-fructose corn syrup. (So basically it tastes like it did when I was a kid.)

I found the Passover Coke at a local grocery store. I’m the evil gentile raiding their stock. Mwahh ha. Now I just have to find those little toasted coconut-covered marshmallow things I like so much and I’ll be all set.

Sigh. When I was a kid, Evil Gentile was always capitalized…

When I was a kid, where I grew up, evil gentile was a misspelling of another phrase for “cruel to be kind”.

This might be a GYOB moment but the first Jew I ever met was my mom’s boss who took my brother and me to a football game. Right before he picked us up she said “be careful what you boys say, they’re Jewish”. I had no clue what Jewish meant so I spent the whole game looking for 3rd arms or some other deformity that would make them “Jewish”.

Wow. I just heard about Passover Coke from a Jewish co-worker today. I’m so raiding the grocery shelves when I get back home tonight.

Oh! I’ll have to find that for himself. He’s usually busy looking to raid the Euro Coke; this may be more available. Is there a special label?

The cans have a yellow stripe on either side of the swoosh. Bottle caps are labelled KP or something to that effect. (I forget and I’m too lazy to Google it right now.)
